We are a group of fourth year design and business students from Massey University, Wellington and are in the process of creating an alternative method of courier packaging. A packaging line that is re-usable for multi-purpose and is more sustainable than the current single use plastic shipping bags.
In designing this line, we are currently researching into recycling waterproof materials such as offcuts from truck tarpaulin, old sails, and unwanted scaffolding building wrap.
With sustainability being something we all value, we want to use materials that already exist rather than creating new a material. This means we are creating a service for existing companies with excess materials who need a place to donate their materials. We are therefore repurposing materials which will continue to be reused by our customers.
